Hi, I’m Chantelle Efird, an RTCc (Registered Therapeutic Counsellor Candidate) offering low-cost counselling in a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space. I work with adults and teenagers navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and life transitions. I’m passionate about helping clients develop practical tools to better understand themselves and move forward with confidence.

My interest in counselling grew from being surrounded by mental health challenges within my family, which were often normalized but rarely discussed, which led me to explore them on my own. Through this process of self-discovery, I began to understand patterns I had long questioned—like feeling sick before activities I loved or being perceived as shy. Gaining this insight sparked a deeper curiosity and ultimately inspired me to support others in their own journeys of self-understanding, helping them make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), focusing on identifying unhelpful thought patterns, building coping strategies, and creating meaningful, sustainable change. Life changes, whether expected or unexpected, can feel overwhelming, especially when paired with anxiety, low mood, or challenges with focus and motivation. Together, we will work to increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop skills you can use beyond the therapy room.

I strive to make counselling accessible and affordable, and I welcome individuals who may be new to therapy or unsure where to start. You don’t have to navigate this alone; support is available.
